What is the maximum forging capacity available at Varsha Forgings?

Accepted Answer

Varsha Forgings operates a 2500-tonne Erie Press supported by dual 1300-tonne hot-forging lines, an 800-tonne Screw Press for warm and cold forging, and three gravity hammers rated at 1MT, 2MT, and 3MT. This combined capacity supports components from 0.5 kg up to 50 kg in finished weight.

Which forging processes does Varsha Forgings support — hot, warm, or cold?

Accepted Answer

Varsha Forgings supports all three forging temperature regimes under one roof. Hot forging is performed on our Erie and 1300T press lines. Warm forging (650°C–900°C) on our 800T Screw Press delivers tighter tolerances. Cold forging on the same Screw Press produces net-shape components such as steering worms and gear blanks.

What part weight range can your presses and hammers handle?

Accepted Answer

Our integrated press and hammer fleet covers forgings from 0.5 kg (small precision cold-forged parts) to over 50 kg (large structural hot forgings on the 2500T Erie Press). The 1MT, 2MT, and 3MT gravity hammers handle 0.5 kg to approximately 20 kg.

Is Varsha Forgings IATF 16949 certified for forged automotive components?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Varsha Forgings holds both IATF 16949 and ISO 9001:2015 certifications applicable across all forging and machining operations at our Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) plant established 1989 and our Pune plant established 2013.

Question 5

How does Varsha Forgings ensure dimensional accuracy in forged components?

Accepted Answer

Dimensional verification is performed using a Faro Arm CMM and a Zeiss Contour measurement system. Die design and process simulation are executed in Creo 3.0 and SimuFact 15.0. Post-forge machining across 60 CNC lines, 17 VMCs, 5 Gear Hobbing machines, and 2 HMCs ensures final accuracy to OEM tolerances.
