Torque rod assemblies (also referred to as reaction rods or torsion rods) are structural suspension links designed to restrain axle housing rotation during acceleration and braking while permitting required vertical suspension movement. In heavy commercial vehicles, buses, and off-highway equipment, torque rods prevent axle wind-up caused by high drivetrain torque output. Without effective torque restraint, the axle housing twists relative to the chassis frame, causing driveline misalignment, universal joint wear, and unpredictable braking behavior.

Rotational Torque Restraint
Closed-die forging ensures continuous, unbroken metallurgical grain flow along shaft journals and spline transitions. This prevents rotational shear fatigue during sudden acceleration shocks — a critical failure mode in EV drivetrains where peak torque is delivered instantaneously without the damping effect of a torque converter or clutch slip.
Axle Positioning Control
EV suspension linkages integrate specially formulated low-durometer, high-damping elastomeric rubber bushings to isolate high-frequency road vibrations that would otherwise transmit into the quiet cabin.
NVH Control
