Forged V-Link Suspension Assemblies for Heavy-Duty Applications
A V-Link assembly (also referred to as a V-stay, V-rod, or three-point linkage) is a structural suspension component that combines the functions of transverse stabilization and longitudinal positioning into a single V-shaped unit. Positioned between the vehicle frame cross-member and the axle housing, forged V-Link assemblies control lateral sway, prevent roll motion, and maintain correct axle orientation during asymmetrical suspension travel.
In heavy commercial vehicles, articulated buses, and railway bogies where packaging space is constrained, the V-Link replaces separate lateral track bars (panhard rods) and upper control links. This integration reduces component count, saves chassis envelope space, and simplifies OEM assembly line operations.

Roll Motion Stabilization
Acts as a lateral roll stabilizer, reducing body lean during cornering without requiring separate sway bars. The wide two-point chassis attachment combined with the single apex axle connection creates a rigid geometric triangle that restrains lateral side-thrust forces.
Dual Axis Load Transference
Handles combined lateral side-thrust forces and longitudinal brake/drive torque through a single compact assembly. This eliminates the need for separate upper control links and panhard rods.
Weight & Space Efficiency
Replaces separate lateral panhard rods and upper torque links, freeing up chassis envelope space. Reduces total suspension component count and assembly line complexity for OEMs.
Accommodates Asymmetrical Articulation
Integrated elastomeric spherical bushes at the frame and axle ends permit controlled conical and torsional rotation, allowing one side of the axle to travel vertically without binding the suspension.
